Ms. Bertolozzi I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! This is my third year teaching at STEM Launch, and my second year teaching 2nd grade. I have a bachelor's degree in English from the University of North Carolina, and spent a few years working in Yosemite National Park before returning to school to get my teaching license. I have also worked as a mentor to youth in foster care in Seattle, WA, and for a literacy-based nonprofit in Oakland, CA. I graduated with my master's in Educational Psychology from CU Denver this past December. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, reading, cooking, and spending time with my dachshund, Oskar. I love creating community in the classroom and I can't wait for meaningful PBLs and collaboration among my students!
Mrs. Carlson Hi! I couldn't be happier to be teaching 2nd grade at STEM Launch! I've had 25 years experience as a classroom teacher, ELD Specialist, Instructional Coach and Interventionist. I know how lucky I am to be a teacher at STEM and working daily with our students to push their thinking, solve problems, collaborate effectively and encourage positive scholarly habits. Outside of teaching, I enjoy hiking, reading, traveling, visiting with friends and family and I LOVE the Broncos and going to home games. I have a daughter attending University of Minnesota and a son in high school so it is great to know where students need to get be college-ready! Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with me as their teacher
